When deciding between the 4K UHD + Dolby Atmos Sound and HD + Stereo versions of our content, it's essential to consider your setup and preferences. Here's a breakdown to help you make an informed decision:
1. Device Compatibility:
4K UHD with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound quality is only supported on a limited number of devices. Before making a purchase, ensure that your device is compatible with this premium quality.
2. Audio / Video Downscaling:
If your device supports 4K UHD Dolby Vision but not Dolby Atmos Sound, the audio will automatically downscale to 5.1 or to stereo, and vice versa. Similarly, if your device doesn't support Dolby Vision, the content will downgrade to HDR10 or SDR and if 4K UHD is not supported or your connection is to slow for 4K UHD the resolution will change to QHD ,HD or even SD.
It's advisable to check your device's specifications before making a decision to ensure compatibility.
3. Alternative Option:
If your device cannot support both 4K UHD (With or without Dolby Vision) and Dolby Atmos sound, opting for the HD + Stereo version is recommended, as it still offers excellent quality.
Additional Considerations:
To experience the full 4K UHD quality, it's necessary to either download the TV app directly onto your TV or connect your device to the TV using an HDMI cable.
Streaming an On Air show in 4K UHD with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound requires an HDCP 2.2 compliant connection to a 4K UHD capable display.
By assessing your setup and considering these factors, you can confidently choose the version that best suits your viewing experience preferences.
